Medina considers different angles to tackle sidewalk problems

MEDINA, Ohio – Working with a consultant to identify tree-related sidewalk issues and purchasing a larger grinder to repair minor sidewalk problems are both under consideration by the city’s streets and sidewalks committee as the body looks to modify Medina’s current sidewalk program.

The committee met April 20 to continue their discussion on how to best address sidewalk repairs and replacements throughout the city.

“Since we have never really gotten to a good start, we have sidewalk issues throughout the city and unless we address this in an intense way, we are never going to catch up,” Councilor Bill Lamb said. “Our sidewalks need to be walkable.”…
