3 NE Ohio businesses announce expansions: Restaurant, brewery, coffee shop

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Northeast Ohio businesses are finding new ways to grow – by expanding footprints, diversifying concepts and doubling down on what makes them unique.

From culinary training in Cleveland Heights to a brewery at a motorsports complex in Lorain and a coffee concept in Stark County, three local brands are charting distinct paths forward.

Edwins expands in Cleveland Heights

Edwins Leadership & Restaurant Institute is growing both its physical space and its mission in Cleveland Heights. The nonprofit recently took over two adjacent Cedar Road properties to expand its culinary training and introduce an oyster bar concept.

A former bakery has been converted into a classroom and teaching kitchen, accommodating up to 40 students in class and 15 in hands-on training.
