Woman convicted of rape, abuse of infant at Summit County hotel

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A New York woman accused of raping and abusing an 11-month-old baby was found guilty by a Summit County jury of multiple criminal charges.

According to a news release from Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich, Jamilee Hunt, 38, of Hudson Falls, N.Y., was convicted Friday of one count of rape of a child under 13 years old, five counts of felonious assault, one count of endangering children by torture or abuse, and one count of endangering children by creating substantial risk to the health or safety of the child.

Hunt’s conviction comes just days after her co-defendant, Jason Santos, 38, of Stony Creek, N.Y., was sentenced to life in prison for the rape and abuse of the child. Santos will be eligible for parole after serving 55 to 59 years. Hunt also faces a life sentence…
