Akron police: 14-year-old arrested in shooting that injured 2

CLEVELAND — Akron police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with a shooting that injured two teenagers last week.

In an update released on Thursday, Akron police said that the boy was taken into custody in the 1700 block of Piedmont Avenue on Wednesday, April 29, by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Police say he has been charged with two counts of felonious assault and is being held at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.
