‘We’re not paying you anymore’: Medina Township says Rumpke won’t respond to trash contract termination

MEDINA, Ohio — More than a month after voting to end its waste collection contract with Rumpke Waste & Recycling, Medina Township officials say the company has yet to formally respond, delaying the township’s planned switch to service through the City of Medina.

Trustees unanimously approved March 12 motions to terminate the contract early and begin service with Medina, which officials said would be a cheaper and more flexible, month-to-month agreement.
