Auburn Township employee indicted on theft in office, tampering charges

An Auburn Township employee has been indicted by a Geauga County grand jury following an investigation by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office and the prosecutor’s office into missing funds.

Geauga County Prosecutor James Flaiz announced May 4 that Nancy R. Dolezal, of Newbury Township was indicted by a grand jury on charges of two counts of tampering with records, both third-degree felonies, and fifth-degree felony theft in office.

The third-degree felony charges have a maximum potential sentence of 18 months in prison and the fifth-degree felony charge has a maximum potential sentence of 12 months…
