NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) – The North Canton Police is asking for help identifying the individual who was riding what is believed to be an e-bike or electric motorcycle and damaged a golf course.
According to a North Canton Police Facebook post, reports show that the rider was “ramping from a bunker onto the green, leaving tire tracks and surface damage that will require time and resources to repair.”

The North Canton Police Department noted that it has seen an increase in the use of electric bikes and electric motorcycles in ways that violate local laws and create safety risks.
Officers are looking out for the following:
- Electric motorcycles or high-powered bikes operating illegally
- Bikes equipped with pegs rather than functional pedals
- Operation on sidewalks and roadways where prohibited
