Man hurt in shooting at Akron’s Hardesty Park: See what police are saying

AKRON, Ohio — A 60-year-old man was hurt in an Akron shooting at Hardesty Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say it was around 5:17 p.m. when Akron officers responded to the scene, which is in the 1600 block of West Market Street, and found the victim near the pavilion with a single gunshot wound to the left leg.
