ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — In the market for a new book or want to add a lot of new books to your collection? Look no further: Albany County is holding an online auction for the former College of Saint Rose’s library. NEWS10 got a special tour to learn more about the available artifacts.
“You name it, we have it,” Albany County Executive Dan McCoy exclaimed standing by the stacks of the former College of Saint Rose’s library, where thousands of books are about to be auctioned off — some of them dating back to the 1200s.
Ranging from history to literature, art and beyond, the 150,000 books in this library even include works by historic figures like St. Thomas Aquinas and Sir Francis Bacon, which are now in a special archive…
