BINGHAMTON — Abigail Colwill knew the pressure she was facing — and the Averill Park senior wasn’t going to crack.
Trying to protect a three-run lead against Pearl River in the NYSPHSAA Class A softball championship game, Colwill allowed the Pirates to load the bases with nobody out and the top of the lineup coming up in the top of the sixth inning.
So, she buckled down and got to work…
