Albany man sent to prison for attack that left officer with broken leg

ALBANY — An Albany man who pleaded guilty to assaulting an Albany police officer at the Capital City Rescue Mission in 2025 was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison.

State Supreme Court Justice William T. Little also sentenced Emory Johnson, 27, to three years of post-release supervision for the attack, which prosecutors said left the officer with a broken leg.
