Pittsfield shooting kills 29-year-old man, injures second

​PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WNYT) – Pittsfield Police said one man was killed and another was hurt in a targeted shooting near Tyler Street.

Police said officers responded at about 8:09 p.m. Thursday, June 18, after receiving multiple ShotSpotter alerts and 911 calls reporting gunfire near the intersection of Pleasure Avenue and Tyler Street.

Officers found two men with gunshot wounds and both were taken to Berkshire Medical Center. Police said a 38-year-old Pittsfield resident was treated for a non-life-threatening injury and released, while a 29-year-old Pittsfield man died at the hospital…
