ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — July 4, 2026 is the 250th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. It also marks the 50th year Market 32/Price Chopper has served as the title presented sponsor of New York State’s July 4 celebration.
On Saturday, the Empire State Plaza will be filled with over 20,000 revelers enjoying, food, music, America 250 exhibits, and of course, fireworks.

“We have a wonderful show planned full of music and great food and beverage for everyone to enjoy and always that remembrance that we are here to celebrate the anniversary of our country, pay tribute to our troops — both present and past — and to thank them for fighting for our freedom,” Market 32 and Price Chopper Vice President for Public Relations and Consumer Services Mona Golub said. “To be able to enjoy this celebration and we hope that everyone that can be here will join us for the biggest and best fireworks show of the entire year right here above this majestic plaza.”
The grounds of Empire State Plaza will open at 4 p.m. and Fourth of July festivities will begin at 5 p.m. The New York State Office of General Services said the plaza will feature a main stage and north stage with a variety of musicians and bands.
