VOORHEESVILLE — Two years after opening, Blackbirds Tavern and its across-the-street sibling, Blackbirds Bike Cafe, are being put up for sale.
The tavern, operated under contract by Druthers Brewing, remains open. The cafe closed at the beginning of this year, ostensibly for a winter break, but never reopened.
Ed and Lisa Mitzen, philanthropists based in Saratoga Springs, opened the businesses two years ago, with the cafe debuting in late May 2024 and the tavern six months later under Druthers’ management.
