The 13-count indictment against Correra alleges that he sold quantities of cocaine to undercover agents with the New York State Police’s Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team and the State Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force over a three-month period. As a result of the sales, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Correra’s Saratoga Springs home and reportedly recovered over five and a half pounds of cocaine, multiple loaded guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, a high-capacity ammo magazine, narcotics cutting agents, and digital scales from within the residence. Correra now faces the following charges:
- Two counts of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance
- Numerous counts of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- One count of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance
- Two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a firearm
“This case reflects the outstanding work of our Special Investigations and Narcotics Bureau, which was established earlier this year to strengthen our response to complex drug trafficking and organized criminal activity,” Saratoga County District Attorney Brett Eby stated. “These collaborative efforts demonstrate our commitment to holding those who traffic dangerous narcotics and illegally possess firearms accountable while protecting the safety of Saratoga County residents.”
Correra was arraigned in Saratoga County Court on July 8, with further proceedings scheduled for July 28.
