LATHAM, NY (WRGB) — Honoring the life of 7-year-old Harbe Nagi Saturday night, everyone was welcome at Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Company to share love over hate.
Organizers say the Lighting the Way event gathered the community to channel its energy into a positive direction rather than boycott or protest. Attendees were given the opportunity to share different avenues of acceptance through an open mic. Some read aloud personal stories as well as poetry and music.
