Capital Region Gives recognizes 3 volunteers for community service efforts

The Times Union is once again recognizing excellence in volunteerism with its Community Service Awards.

A continuation of the successful Capital Region Gives initiative, the Community Service Awards were established in 2025 after the foundation that oversaw the Jefferson Awards, Multiplying Good, ceased operations in August of 2024. The Times Union soon carved out an opportunity to honor volunteerism in its own service awards.

A panel of judges selected a total of eight individual and group honorees, who the Times Union will spotlight on the second Sundays of June, July and August.
