The convenience store said the closure came from the inability to expand and offer more food, beverages, and other services. Officials with Stewart’s Shops added that they have recently invested in other nearby locations over the past few years.
Following the closure, customers can stop by other local locations on Wellness Road in Latham, Guideboard Road in Waterford, Middletown Road in Waterford, and Crescent Road in Clifton Park. Stewart’s is also building a new store on Mohawk Street in Cohoes, which is expected to open next month and will be staffed by employees from the closing Halfmoon location.
