ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- Communities across the Capital Region still mark the flooding Irene brought as waterways rose to record levels and damage continued long after the storm moved through.
Irene hit the region on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, after making landfall near Coney Island at about 9 a.m. NewsChannel 13 reviewed the storm’s timeline as heavy rain and strong winds moved north and flooding quickly worsened.
