More Albany students can now catch their bus near home instead of walking

ALBANY — Last year, one family had to cross 18 streets on a 1.2-mile journey to walk their children to school in Albany.

Another parent said he carried his son to school every day last year, rather than try to urge the 4-year-old to walk.

He was able to get to the school in 15 minutes. The other family said it typically took 30 minutes — and 40 minutes in the snow…
