An updated weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 8:52 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 9:45 p.m. for Saratoga, Rensselaer and Washington counties.
Residents can anticipate wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
“At 8:52 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Mechanicville, moving east at 30 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”…
