Albany County asking voters to replace coroners with medical examiner’s office

Albany County voters will decide in November whether to replace the county’s four elected coroners with a medical examiner’s office.

County officials on Monday argued such a change would modernize the office and ensure doctors lead autopsies and death investigations.
