Schenectady, NY (WRGB) — At about 6:50 p.m. on the evening of Sept. 14, 2026, officers with the Schenectady Police Department’s Focused Patrol Unit tried to stop a man who was “illegally walking in the roadway.” Police said the man, identified as Naquise Dawson, a 27 year-old from Schenectady, ran from officers but was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
