Paul Grondahl, columnist for the Times Union and director of the New York State Writers Institute, will release “Andy Rooney: A Lucky Life” on the famed journalist on Oct. 1. Prior to his discussion on Oct. 13 as part of the institute’s fall season, and which Jack Rightmyer will moderate, the Times Union spoke with Grondahl about his experience researching and writing the book on the Albany native.
