ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- Albany Mayor Dorcey Applyrs is set to present a proposed 2027 budget October 1 as the city works to close a $55 million deficit.
Applyrs will present the proposed budget to the Common Council on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Albany West Community Center on Livingston Avenue. After that, she plans to begin a listening tour to gather input from taxpayers across the city.
“Having the community engaged in this process allows them to give us feedback on the budget proposed,” Applyrs said. “As well as give the common council feedback as we prepare to finalize a budget to be voted on.”…
