“This change represents an important next step for our company and the customers we serve,” said Anders M. Tomson, Chief Executive Officer of Chemung Canal Trust Company. “A single name will make it easier for customers to recognize the full strength, capabilities and reach of our organization. While the name will change, the qualities customers value most—personal service, local decision-making, trusted relationships and a deep commitment to our communities—will remain firmly in place.”
As this is only a brand change, the banks will keep the same ownership, staff, and services. In the Capital Region, Capital Bank has locations in Albany, Colonie, Latham, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Schenectady and Slingerlands. All customer accounts and services will continue working as normal.
