VOORHEESVILLE — Kinderhook-based Broad Street Bagel Co. is developing a new location, its third, in the former Blackbirds Bike Cafe in the heart of the village.
Owner Meghan Calcagno said Thursday that she hopes to open within two weeks, dependent on final permitting and inspections. She said the kitchen, new when Blackbirds opened two years ago, has already been equipped to make bagels and the same menu as is available at the Kinderhook original, which opened in 2012.
Projected hours are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, though they may be adjusted as dictated by customer demand, Calcagno said. Her company also owns a sibling restaurant, The Brooklyn Pizzeria, which has a separate location in Kinderhook and has its pizza available in a co-branded location with Broad Street Bagel Co. in Slingerlands that opened in June of last year.
