Lawmakers gather to rally for SAFE streets in New York state

New York (WRGB) – In 2023, according to the Institute for Traffic Safety Management & Research, 787 New York residents were killed in traffic. Tuesday morning at 11 a.m., State Senators were joined by Assemblymembers including Pat Fahy at the Albany Capitol Building, to rally with the NYS Safe Streets Coalition, a statewide group of nearly 150 organizations, to urge passage of the SAFE Streets Package, a package of six bills that would bring safe streets improvements to communities across the state.
