Schenectady man arrested for reportedly stealing over $1K in merchandise from Home Depot

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — On January 16, the North Greenbush Police Department arrested Thomas McGinnis of Schenectady, on an outstanding warrant. McGinnis was being held at the Albany County Jail on separate charges.

Police say the warrant stemmed from a theft at Home Depot on November 17. McGinnis is accused of stealing $1,027.98 in merchandise. He also reportedly fled in a stolen vehicle.

McGinnis was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree. He was arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court and remanded back to Albany County Jail. He is due back in court at a later date.
