Ice fishing tournament to be held on Burden Lake

SAND LAKE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Anglers of all ages are invited to compete in the 4th annual ice fishing tournament on Burden Lake on February 10. The competition is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Sand Lake and runs from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There is an entry fee of $15 for adults. Kids 15 and under can compete for free. Registration will be open from 5 to 11 a.m. at Kay’s Pizza at Burden Lake.

Monetary prizes of $125, $50, and $25 will be awarded to adults in the top three for Northern Pike/Pickerel, Perch, and Crappie. The angler who catches the biggest Walleye will win a $100 prize. Kids 15 and under will receive plaques and prizes for the Northern Pike/Pickerel, Perch, and Crappie.

DEC advises ice anglers to be safe this winter

Registration, weigh-ins, and prizes will be held at Kay’s Pizza. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Questions may be directed to (518) 698-9623.
