According to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, Monroe (with two codefendants) went to Kingston on July 27 with a loaded gun and entered the home of Dominique Green. Monroe shot and killed Green, and then gave the gun to one of the co-defendants to get rid of. Afterward, all three returned to Schenectady.
The gun was later recovered and DNA evidence from the gun and a bullet inside it matched Monroe. The three defendants were arrested in a collaborative effort by the Kingston Police Department and the New York State Police.
