LATHAM, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Stewart’s Shops is closing one of its Latham locations. The company said its store at the corner of Watervliet Shaker and Old Loudon Roads cannot efficiently serve its customers.

The location has been open since 1981, has limited space for food, and no space to offer gasoline, Stewart’s said. There is also no additional property to expand the shop.
The store will close on Friday, Feb. 2. Its employees have accepted jobs at other locations.
Customers are encouraged to shop at Stewart’s locations at 605 Loudon Rd. and 186 Troy Schenectady Rd. The company also has plans to build a larger shop at l956 Loudon Rd. in Latham later this year.
