North Greenbush man arrested for assault, resisting arrest

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A North Greenbush man was arrested following a reported disturbance at a residence on Winter Street Ext. Responding officers said Bryan O’Connell exited the residence and aggressively approached them.

When the officers tried to restrain him, O’Connell allegedly resisted and both he and one of the officers sustained minor injuries. Police charged him with second-degree assault, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and resisting arrest.

He was arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail on $50,000 bail. He is due back in court at a later date.
