GUILDERLAND, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Guilderland Police Department announced that a Farnsworth Middle School student was arrested after a threat they made circulated on social media. The youth was charged with the class B misdemeanor of making a threat of mass harm.

Police received a report of the threat around 2 p.m. on Thursday. The ensuing investigation resulted in the student being identified and taken into custody.
The Guilderland Police Department stated that no one was harmed in the incident, and that there is no further threat to the community. Due to their age, the student’s information will not be released.
Schuylerville man arrested for repeated stalking
The juvenile was reportedly transported to a local crisis center and was referred to Albany County Probation. Police say the investigation was conducted with full cooperation from the Guilderland Central School District as well as the student’s family.
