SCHENECTADY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Crews from the Schenectady Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Sunday morning near Windsor Terrace. The American Red Cross was on the scene to assist two adults and two children affected by the fire.

Around 11 a.m., firefighters arrived to the scene of a heavy fire with smoke coming from the back of the structure. The fire department evacuated all three homes in the building.
Crews were able to get the fire under control within 30 minutes and completely out in under an hour. No firefighters were injured during the operation.

The Red Cross says one adult resident was hospitalized and a pet was injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
