Bullied teen empowered through community support

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A local teen, bullied for his love of Spider-Man last summer, has found strength from another group of fighters, who use their combat skills to focus on a person’s mental and inner strength, no matter a person’s size.

Aydin Pedone , of Hudson Falls, has still managed to be a superhero for his community by staying focused on the super positive. And there have been many positive updates in the last six months thanks to the local jiu-jitsu and cosplay community.

In the words of the ever popular Peter Parker, “With great power comes great responsibility,” and no one takes that more seriously than Spider-Man’s biggest fan, Aydin Pedone.

“He’s become like a celebrity here,” said Edward Anthony, the owner of Atlas Jiu Jitsu. “He walks in the door, and everyone knows who he is, wants to help him, because of how he handled himself.”

“I feel like there are more people supporting me than there used to be,” said Pedone.
