PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) — On Wednesday, Christopher Oliveri, 51, of Milford, was arrested in connection to an armed robbery at an NBT Bank on November 29. Pittsfield Police say Oliveri had a black revolver at the time of the arrest.
Oliveri is accused of entering the NBT Bank on November 29, displaying a firearm, and demanding cash. When the tellers opened the vault, the suspect reportedly zip-tied their hands and stole approximately $143,960.
Police say Oliveri used a white Nissan Pathfinder rental vehicle during the robbery. An arrest warrant was issued for the charges of Armed and Masked Robbery and two counts of Firearm-Armed Kidnapping. A search warrant was also issued for Oliveri’s residence in Milford.
On Wednedsay, law enforcement prepared to execute the search warrant when they spotted Oliveri. After he was taken into custody, a search was executed. Evidence related to the robbery, including clothing, bags used, a firearm similar to the one used in November, and $112,700 in cash, were seized.
