NYSP: Rensselaer man injures State Trooper while resisting arrest

COLONIE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Quinn James Min-Shik Doedema, 29, of Rensselaer, was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop on I-87 in Colonie. Doedema is accused of being uncooperative with police, resisting arrest, and injuring a State Trooper.

According to State Police, Doedema had multiple items containing drug residue. He was charged with the following:

  • Assault in the second degree
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree
  • Resisting arrest
  • Obstructing governmental administration in the second degree
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violation

Doedema was processed at police headquarters in Latham and arraigned at the Colonie Town Court. He was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash or a $50,000 bond.
