The Latest Storm Tracker Forecast from Meteorologist Kevin Appleby:
After record high temperatures across the News10 viewing area Saturday, two dry days will be followed up by an impactful winter storm Tuesday, especially south of Albany.
Winter Storm Watches have been expanded farther north to include the Tri-Cities region and points to the south. The watches are in effect from 1 AM through 7 PM Thursday.
Temperatures are mild to start your Sunday similar to Saturday, but relatively colder air will continue to filter into our region, keeping high temperatures generally in the low to mid 40s. Skies will turn brighter by the afternoon after a cloudy start.
No weather concerns expected overnight either, with partly cloudy skies. While cooler than the past several nights, temperatures will bottom out still about 15 degrees above normal.
High temperatures will be similar Monday to what we will see Sunday. This time around, the day will start bright but turn cloudy late ahead of the incoming snow storm.
