Troy Police respond to fatal crash on Oakwood Avenue

TROY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Troy Police Department announced they are investigating a fatal car crash that took place on Saturday night. The crash happened on Oakwood Avenue.

On February 10 around 6 p.m., police responded to the scene of a two car crash on Oakwood Avenue’s southbound lane between Farrell Road and Humiston Avenue. The initial investigation determined that a car driving northbound on Oakwood Avenue reportedly crossed into the southbound lane, resulting in a head-on crash with another vehicle.

According to police, a passenger of the northbound car, Sally Rickli, 87, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The two drivers of the vehicles were also taken to the hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Rensselaer Police investigating fatal train accident
