Raymertown man arrested in stolen vehicle case in Rensselaer County

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The North Greenbush Police announced that Timothy Matala of Raymertown turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. Matala was wanted for reportedly crashing his vehicle on Geiser Road and stealing another car to flee from the scene.

Police say the incident occurred on December 16, 2023. Matala was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident.

Matala was arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court. He was released and is scheduled to appear at a later date.
