CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Sofia’s of Clifton Park is set to open in the former Painted Lemon space at 54 Clifton Country Road. According to the Sofia’s of Clifton Park Facebook page , the restaurant will be serving authentic Italian food.

“The Sofia’s of Clifton Park location is being created by the owner of Sofia’s of Little Italy in Manhattan,” said Sofia’s in an email to NEWS10. “He has assembled trained kitchen staff who are eager to come to Clifton Park and display their talents for everyone’s enjoyment. The owner, who is also a chef, has a bagel shop in the West Village and a gelato shop.”
According to the email, the owner visited Clifton Park and loved this location. He hired a small team to lead the project as he continues to run his eateries in New York City.
Steve’s Place in Glens Falls set to close
The Painted Lemon in Clifton Park originally opened in January 2023 and then closed at the beginning of October. While owners Kimberly Taylor and Chef Giovanni Iardazio said the closure was temporary, the building was later listed for sale .
