Mohawk’s Humane Law Enforcement Peace Officers were called out the Hudson Pointe apartments to pick up a dog that was left to fend for itself.  They said that he’s a sweet Old Gentleman and he’s not in great conditions.

Officials at Mohawk say the dog is now in their care after being evaluated by an emergency veterinarian and is currently receiving care from their Veterinary Department.

A representative who answered the phone at the apartment complex told NEWS10 they found the dog and called the shelter to come help.  This case was like the one from last month in Craryville where the dog was found abandoned due to deteriorating health conditions according to Columbia/Greene Humane Society.
