PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A recent graduate of Taconic High School in Pittsfield was awarded a scholarship from the Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts.

Shea Coe is the first Ad Club scholarship recipient in recent memory from Berkshire County and intends to major in graphic design at Salem State University. Coe was awarded a $1,000 check from the Advertising Club at Taconic High School for her academic record and extracurricular volunteerism.
Coe cuts and stacks firewood at Williams Lumber in Lee, which, according to the Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts, made a distinct impression on the scholarship committee members.
“Shea isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and do the hard work – an attitude that will serve her well in life,” said scholarship committee chairman David Cecchi.
