SCHOHARIE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) – The Schoharie Mercantile is one of the newest additions to Main Street in Schoharie. The co-op gift shop is a dream realized for a longtime resident of the area.
“It’s always been my dream since I’ve been doing things around the community to have a mercantile. I think every small community needs a mercantile as part of it’s draw,” said Ruth Anne Wilkinson , a Schoharie resident and business owner.
Exploring Generations on Main Street
The store opened its doors in February 2024. From handmade earrings to handbags made from denim, 22 artisans sell their goods at the store.
The store is located at 303 Main Street in Schoharie. It’s open 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
