ROTTERDAM, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) – The Pretty Paw Lounge, a cat cafe in the Capital Region, just marked one year in business. NEWS10’s Cassie Hudson was in Rotterdam to take us inside this week’s Off the Beaten Path.
An inside look at the Capital Region’s first cat cafe
Rotterdam native Rachel Anne has been a fan of felines all her life. After volunteering with local cat rescues for the last ten years, she saw first-hand the need for a space like this needed in the community.
NEWS10 gave you a look inside the space in August 2023. Since they opened, they’ve had 114 cat adoptions.

The Pretty Paw Lounge is located at 370 Mariaville Road in Rotterdam. The cat cafe is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
