ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Albany Police have arrested an Albany man for a series of robberies and burglary. Gabriel Ballard, 44, faces multiple charges.

Police say they responded to reports of a burglary at the Mexican Market on Central Avenue on August 17. After an investigation, officers said Ballard allegedly shattered the glass of the front door to enter and stole cash from the register and tip jar before fleeing.
Officers responded to the area of Quail Street and Sherman Street for reports of a robbery on September 4 where the victim told officers that Ballard approached him, punched him in the face, and stole his wallet before fleeing. The victim had injuries on the left side of his face according to police.
