The crash happened around 3:20 a.m. on Amsterdam Road (Route 5) near the intersection of Water’s Road. Nyvon Irizarry, 25, of Schenectady, was driving a 2012 Honda Accord east on Amsterdam Road, when he lost control of the vehicle. It left the road and struck several trees before ending up at the bottom of a ravine.
