HALFMOON, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– A Halfmoon man was sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison for trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, meth, and firearms. Anthony Luizzi, 24, admitted to trafficking large amounts of drugs and more than 30 firearms in March.

Through Luizzi’s guilty plea to conspiring to distribute drugs, he a dmitted to selling drugs from his apartment in Halfmoon. In May 2023, police searched his home and found 11 kilograms of fentanyl pills, five firearms, and a serial-defaced shotgun.
Police searched another home on Western Avenue in Albany, where they found more fentanyl pills and guns. Luizzi also possessed $2,616, which police said was connected to drug sales.
Troopers arrest two men for alleged Greenwich burglary
Luizzi was ordered to five years of probation following his sentence and to forfeit the $2,616 police recovered from his participation in distributing drugs. He also will pay a $10,000 fine.
