Albany – Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan says the goal is for the South End’s Lincoln Towers to be demolished this year, but additional funding still needs to be secured. “Our funding from Senator Gillibrand is that the housing authority will start that project imminently, and start the abatement as they seek funding to actually take them down,” Sheehan said during her budget presentation earlier this week.
